How do I create a new note?

Tap the + button on the main screen. Your note is saved automatically — no manual save needed.

How do I delete a note?

Long-press the note in the list to select it, then tap the delete (trash) icon. You can also delete from inside the note via the menu in the top-right corner.

Are my notes backed up?

Your notes are stored locally on your device. If you have Android's automatic backup enabled (Settings → System → Backup), they may be included in your Google account backup and restored when you set up a new device.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Simple Notes works entirely offline. Notes are stored on your device and no internet connection is ever required.

Does Simple Notes collect my data?

No. We collect nothing. All data stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I lost my notes after reinstalling — can I recover them?

If Android backup was enabled before uninstalling, your notes may be restored automatically. Without a backup, locally stored notes cannot be recovered after uninstallation.
